Initial Oral Examinations
As the first step to improving the health and appearance of your smile, your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, necessary diagnoses, oral cancer screening, and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth, as well as the bitewing x-ray series to provide the most accurate diagnosis.
Dental Implants
If dentures are not for you, we offer dental implants, which can be used to secure an artificial tooth, permanent bridge, or even dentures for a natural look and feel. Whether you’re missing a single tooth, multiple teeth, or wish to replace a removable appliance, we work with an implant specialist to provide many different types of implants, including Straumann and Astra.
Teeth Whitening
Life is just better when you feel good about yourself. And a dazzling, white smile is the perfect confidence boost. We use the Opalescence teeth whitening system because it works. You can even take the at-home bleaching system with you for results in just two weeks. If you’re looking to brighten up your smile, we’re here to help.
Crowns
Dental crowns are a noninvasive and relatively quick way to get a new and improved smile. If you've had a restorative procedure, such as a root canal, or have lost the use of teeth due to advanced decay, dental crowns can restore both function and appearance. For a total mouth makeover, we use all-porcelain crowns on the anterior teeth, and ceramic and zirconia crowns for the posterior. Both materials are specially-fitted to give you the most natural look and feel.
Fillings (Composite Resin)
Most people think of dental fillings as dark, metallic spots on teeth. Thankfully, today’s composite resin fillings provide an effective and durable alternative to living with metal in your mouth. We offer composite resin dental fillings that are tooth-colored and light-cured to match your teeth, so you're left with a naturally beautiful smile.
Root Canals
Root canals have a bad reputation, but they offer much needed relief if you’re suffering from a badly decayed tooth or painful infection. The “root canal” is the natural space inside of each tooth containing a soft “pulp” and the nerve which alerts you to hot or cold sensations. When a patient requires a root canal treatment, we remove the infected or damaged pulp and nerve, then clean and seal the cavity inside the tooth. Avoiding a necessary root canal will not only lead to pain in the future, but also infections in the area surrounding the tooth. If you are experiencing pain in any teeth due to decay or infection, please make an appointment as soon as possible.
Periodontal Treatment
You should have a standard cleaning at least twice a year. Our periodontal (gum) treatment is painless and includes an Adult Prophy (basic cleaning) that helps prevent gum disease and leaves you with clean, polished teeth. We provide a periodontal screening for gum health once a year. For patients who have not had a cleaning in over a year, possible treatment may also include Periodontal Scaling (deeper cleaning) or Root Planing.
Mouth Guards
Mouth guards offer great protection for your teeth. Not only can they keep your teeth from breaking or chipping, but they also protect your tongue, lips, and other soft tissues in your mouth from damage. Whether you are an athlete or casual participant, a mouth guard is a vital piece of equipment for any sport. But, athletes aren't the only ones who need extra protection. If you grind your teeth while sleeping, a bite guard will help reduce symptoms of TMJ, a painful joint disorder in the jaw. We offer custom-made mouth guards in both soft and hard materials to fit any need.
Removable Dental Prosthesis
If dental implants are not the right option for you, we also provide removable complete or partial dentures. Complete dentures are ideal for patients missing all their teeth or who have had them removed in another procedure. For those with some remaining natural teeth, partial dentures can be attached to a gum-colored base held securely by metal framework. Removable partials offer internal attachments to give you a more natural appearance.
Veneers
Cracking and chipping from general wear. Gaps between teeth. Stains caused by food, caffeine, and tobacco. These can all keep your teeth from looking their best. Dental Veneers can offer a big improvement. Porcelain (or composite) veneers, which are special thin laminates permanently bonded to the teeth, provide great results, plus the process is quick and simple. We use an impression of your teeth to mold your veneers, then buff your teeth, removing an extremely thin layer of enamel to bond your new veneers with special cement. Finally, we use a special light to complete the process. In just two or three visits, you can have a beautiful smile you’ll want to show off!
Sealants
We recommend placing sealants on children’s teeth. A sealant is a plastic coating painted on the biting surface of your back teeth. This plastic coating creates a barrier on your teeth and seals out the decay-causing bacteria that live in plaque.Sealant placement is quick, simple and painless.
